About Our Client
Iroquois Memorial Hospital (IMH) is an acute care health facility with a 24-7 Emergency Department, Prompt Care, Progressive Care Unit with Intensive Care/Telemetry and Medical/Surgical. They provide quality healthcare services throughout Illinois and Indiana and pride themselves on having a convenient, caring environment. In addition to providing cost-efficient, high-quality, consumer-responsive health care, IMH also offers a full range of support services and the latest diagnostic and interventional capabilities.
The Problem
The hospital's technology was outdated on every level and in need of a total refresh. Energy and time were being wasted on maintaining the sluggish systems and broken technology infrastructure, resulting in a decrease in production. Additionally, frequent breakdowns and service requests were prohibiting IT staff from providing timely assistance to hospital employees.
Our Solutions & Results
With the 65 percent funding, CNG was able to implement their CORE Switch and CORE router connectivity across all hospital locations. CNG worked closely with IMH staff on a financial plan that provided three-years of full support services and support with all newly deployed technology.
Furthermore, CNG offered Fortinet CORE routers with Unified Threat Protection software and remote Virtual Private Network (VPN) connectivity that fully met HIPPA compliance for healthcare protection requirements. CNG helped IMH deploy an Avaya IP-PBX Voice -over-IP phone system across all locations, including a Fortinet full network switch refresh and secure wireless deployment.
Results:
The IMH IT staff is no longer tied up managing an antiquated technology infrastructure.
The IMH IT staff is able to provide closer and better attention to end user application requirements.
All locations are now connected on a single phone system, simplifying call flows between sites, improving the end-user experience and satisfaction.
IMH’s technology now fully meets HIPPA compliance for healthcare protection requirements.
